Today I decided to spend some quality time with my BFF, the elliptical -- I put in 30 minutes while listening to my final module for IIN. (Side note: can we please talk about how crazy it is that my year at IIN is nearly over? Time seriously flew by!)

Aaaaaand, speaking of sweating...drum roll, please...I found out yesterday that I'm a newly-minted SweatPink ambassador! (*Insert happy dance here*)
As a woman who loves both fierce shoes and football, all the reasons I love SweatPink are summed up in their mission statement:
We believe that kicking ass is best done in
pretty shoes. We’ve learned that real women
sweat, and sweat hard. We know that
assertiveness, strength, and ambition are
the ultimate feminine qualities. We concede
that sometimes it takes hours to get ready,
but we’re also no strangers to just rolling
out of bed and going. We’re convinced that
we run faster in pink shoelaces. We believe in
pushing ourselves, and we believe in giving
ourselves a break, too. We’re all about the
rush of endorphins and the thrill of the
challenge. We’re all for looking great and
feeling even better. We’re committed to
finding our best fit, and making it stick.
I mean, really: any place that combines sports and an ardent love of pink is a place I can roll with. (Case in point: I might be the only person alive to have simultaneously owned both a subscription to Sports Illustrated and a little pink iPod.) I'm so very excited to be part of this amazing community, and I can't wait to get involved!
Before I sign off, I bring you a totally random thought for the day: Brandon has informed me that the guy who plays
Saul in Homeland (Saul is my favorite character on that show) also
played Inigo Montoya in The Princess Bride. I've decided that should
Saul ever interrogate Abu Nazir, he needs to combine his
roles and say, while waterboarding Abu Nazir, "My name is Inigo Montoya.
You killed my father. Prepare to die." All my entertainment dreams
would come true if that scene ever happened.
And on that note, I hope everyone has a fabulous Tuesday!

AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! Congrats!!! So happy to be able to welcome you to the team :) No one deserves it more!! And I'm glad to hear that you kicked butt at your workout!! Always feels good to be able to do that after being off for a few days...and Jackie Warner scares me...15 minutes with her leaves me unable to move for three days.
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, thank you! I'm so excited to be part of the Sweat Pink team - of course, this means that if you're ever in DC, we have to meet up and go for a run! (Unless it's a rest day: then we're going to be ladies of leisure while sipping herbal tea.)
ReplyDeleteAnd OMG, I'm glad I'm not the only one who gets a serious butt-whuppin' from Jackie Warner. Homegirl kills me every time.
So so excited for you that you're a Sweat Pink Ambassador! Congrats!!
